This is a phenomenon you can experience for yourself if you come into this store anytime after 11pm. Once the graveyard shift of workers comes online and everyone else has gone home you can come to expect the counters and tables to filthy with trash and spilled drinks. Oh you'd like salt or straws? Good luck finding any condiments in the barren wasteland they call a condiment station. Hell even trying to ask an employee for these things after I can't locate them is even a struggle.

Having worked at a franchise personally and being a frequent customer I can say confidently they consistently have the worst counter staff of all the franchises in Nova Scotia. Pretty much anyone you find taking an order on the cash who isn't a manager/runner just filling in because the line has backed up will be an immigrant who has poor grasp of the most basic concepts on the till, the menu, and unfortunately the English language. Now don't get me wrong I'm not blaming these workers, they are being undertrained and thrown into a role they cannot effectively manage (IMO).

Unfortunately there isn't much good to say about this McDonald's. Where to begin?

This McDonald's harkens back to a time when going there was a real eat in take your time type of thing. The green roof is still there, fact it's the ONLY McD's that still has one. The mural for the Public Gardens is still there with the blood red color of the famed gazebo. It's a good place with good people working behind the counter. And it's big. Easily most square footage of all the McDonald's.

Lack of DIY drink station in the lobby is baffling, no trays available past midnight, and no Kiosks.

Both of my orders had mistakes. Suppost have an ICE tea got coke and my other order was a grilled chicken meal. Got a crispy chicken meal. Was busy but not busy enough to make so many mistakes in one order. Store was dirty and no one on floor cleaning. I will never go back to this place again.

The store itself is usually about 4/10 on the cleanliness scale and this McDonald's restaurant is one of the biggest examples of time of day=quality of service. On mornings through 4pm during the week you can expect to find the seasoned workers and managers and I cannot say they provide service subpar to what you might expect from any other McDonald's (again minus the clean factor). As for late-nights and weekends you can expect a steady wait time where your annoyance for the delay only builds as the level of activity in the store usually doesn't correlate with the wait times (again having worked at a McDonald's in high school I can accurately identify when a store is actually swamped and struggling).

Food quality is OK. I've had everything from fresh and fantastic to straight out my window onto quinpool. Sticking with the theme of this review you could guess for the most part you're going to receive the latter unless to come to the store at one of the aforementioned "good" times. Overall it's gamble like most fast food, although, if you come after midnight for a large fries I'd bet the remainder of my student loan balence on them being worse than colder than my ex.

The only reason this store receives anything above one star is that 20%~ of the time I receive good food without a long wait. And just for fun check out the mutated waste they called an Angus sandwich the last time a friend and I visited the store. PS.....he asked for NO PICKLES

This is the worst excuse for fast food. No one was waiting before me and they still took 5 minutes to get to me. The staff spent the time bickering about nothing instead of attending to customers. I've never had a smooth experience here and wouldn't recommend it if you can go to any other mcdonalds.

The layout is weird, but they have real booth seating, which is getting rarer. Service was fine, food was fine. It's a McDonald's.
